One of the most widely used railway stations in Chennai is Central railway station. The news that has come out now is that CMRL would open a pedestrian subway in front of Central railway station.
The meticulous nature of the task is now cited as the reason for the delay in opening of this subway. This has been pointed out in a release. Information collected is that this pedestrian subway would link the Central railway station with RGGGH.
It is learnt that this subway located opposite to the Central railway station has been built with lifts and escalators etc for seamless movement of public and metro train passengers. The subway would have a superb drainage system that would prevent rainwater stagnation. The safety of the public in this subway would be ensured by a security guard. The subway would be opened for the residents after the completion of some technical works.
