Arcot Road connects important localities like Porur, Vadapalani and Kodambakkam etc in Chennai is a well known fact. This Arcot Road is now hogging the limelight.
Now, CMRL has announced that the repair works have been going well along this Arcot Road and these works would get completed in about a week.
Press release was issued by the CMRL and according to the release on the Arcot Road from Kodambakkam to Porur, road repair works is being carried out by Larsen & Toubro Company in the places such as Vadapalani ,Saligramam, Valasaravakkam, Alwar Thirunagar, Karambakkam and Alapakkam etc.
In Valasaravakkam locality, the road is damaged by the overflowing sewage water plus due to rains and due to the various works of many departments etc. It is worthy to note that CMWSSB and L&T are jointly involved in cleaning the water that gets filled up in a pit. The contractor has started road repair works on Porur to Kodambakkam stretch on the Arcot Road plus the barricade replacement works in places where metro rail pillar construction works were completed. The press release concluded that these works would be completed in a week.
