Huge shift in the mindset of the students from Chennai - No more higher studies in Canada!!

The ongoing diplomatic standoff between India and Canada has now made the aspiring students think. Now, the students are planning to join colleges etc in 2024 in countries like the UK, Australia instead of Canada.
As per some career consultants, the UK might once again become the top destination for September 2024 intake because of the above said crisis. Post study work visas are being offered by countries like France etc to the Indian students now. The students are now hoping that the situation between India and Canada will improve in the coming months.
The director of Global degrees Mr. Srinivas Venkateswaran spoke about how the present crisis has made about one third of the students opt for other countries for their higher education.
It must be taken into note that the important reason for many students generally preferring Canada for their higher studies was that Canada had simple entry requirements for higher studies. In addition, getting PR was also easy.
It was then brought to light by a BSc Visual Communication student from Chennai that the recent standoff between India and Canada made him choose UK and Australian universities.
As per an IT engineer from Chennai (who had planned to do a cloud computing course at Canada based Saskatchewan Polytechnic) it was very clear that initially she chose Canada due to affordability. She added that the situation in Canada made her wait and not take any risk of studying there. She concluded that she would be trying other options if the situation doesn`t improve in Canada.
