Grand Finale of SIPArithmetic Genius Contest 2023 successfully held in Chennai

The highly anticipated Grand National Finale of the SIP All India Arithmetic Genius Contest 2023 took place today at Hotel Ramada Plaza by Wyndham in Chennai, marking the culmination of an exhilarating journey for young mathematical minds. Shri Ravi Teja Katta IAS, Regional Deputy Commissioner (North), Greater Chennai Corporation, graced the event as the Chief Guest, applauding the brilliance displayed by the 252 finalists out of 600,000 participants from 23 states.
Addressing the audience, Shri Ravi Teja Katta, IAS, expressed his astonishment and joy witnessing the speed and accuracy with which these young children solved mathematical problems. He reminisced about his own childhood competition experiences, commending SIP Academy for motivating the younger generation, instilling a love for mathematics, and preparing them for future challenges.
The 8th Edition of the SIP All India Arithmetic Genius Contest, organized by SIP Abacus for students in Classes 1 to 5, attracted an overwhelming participation of 600,000 children from over 1200 top schools across 23 states during the initial round. The multi-tiered contest, comprising School Round, City Round, State Round, and the National Final Round, aimed to build a robust foundation in arithmetic basics while nurturing a spirit of healthy competition among children.
A total of 252 students hailing from 23 states qualified for the National Finals, where they tackled 300 math problems in a span of 10 minutes. The outstanding performers in each class were crowned the "Arithmetic Genius" of 2023 and received a Cash Award of Rs. 25,000 each. Additionally, the 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up winners were honored with cash awards of Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000, respectively.
Mr. Dinesh Victor, Managing Director of SIP Academy India Pvt. Ltd., expressed delight in providing a platform for young children to strengthen their mathematical foundations and gain early recognition for their talents. He acknowledged the enthusiastic participation of children and emphasized the event`s significance in setting high standards. Mr. Victor highlighted SIP Abacus`s role in training over 10 lakhs children across 1000+ centers in 350 cities, enabling them to face life more confidently.
