Metro Rail Issues Safety Advisory Amid Chennai Rains
In light of the ongoing heavy rains, Metro Rail has issued a safety advisory for passengers:
1. Due to waterlogging on B-Road, Koyambedu, passengers are advised to access Koyambedu Metro Station via the Foot over Bridge from Poonamallee High Road (Rohini Theatre side).
2. For safety reasons, the escalator at B1 entrance, Park side, at Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central Metro Station is switched off. Passengers should exercise caution while using the staircase at all stations.
3. Passengers are urged not to park vehicles at Koyambedu, St. Thomas Mount, and Arumbakkam Metro Stations and parking areas prone to water stagnation from October 15 to 17, with updates based on weather conditions.

5. The public is encouraged to use Metrorail services for their commute.
