Thai Lion Air is set to enhance connectivity between Chennai and Bangkok with the launch of four weekly direct flights starting December 15. The low-cost airline will operate this service using its Boeing 737-800 aircraft, configured with 167 economy-class seats.
According to the airline’s schedule, flight SL240 will depart from Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport (DMK) at 10:55 PM and arrive at Chennai Airport (MAA) at 1:00 AM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The return flight, SL241, will take off from Chennai at 2:00 AM and reach Bangkok at 7:10 AM on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The flight duration is approximately 3 hours and 40 minutes.
Travelers can book round-trip tickets on the airline’s website, with economy fares starting at ₹11,739. Additionally, a special promotional fare of ₹9,589 is available for bookings made between December 16 and 18.
This new service complements the existing direct flights operated by Thai AirAsia on the same route, offering passengers more options to travel between the two cities.
