Senior police officers posted as IGP, DIG in view of elections

S N Seshasai, inspector general (IG) of police, enforcement, has been transferred and posted as IG of police, elections – a special cell created for the upcoming parliamentary poll.
N K Senthamarai Kannan, deputy inspector general of police (DIG) and commissioner of Tirupur, has been shifted to the post of DIG, elections.
V Balakrishnan, superintendent of police in Madurai, has been shifted to Chennai as the deputy commissioner of police, Mylapore, taking the place of K S Narenthiran. Narenthiran has been posted as superintendent of police in Tirunelveli.
