VIT Law School in Chennai was inaugurated recently.
VIT University chancellor G. Viswanathan said that by introducing ‘Anaivarukkum Uyar Kalvi’ (Higher Education for All) in Vellore district, in two years, VIT had helped more than 300 students pursue their higher education.
In his inaugural address, former Supreme Court judge, S. Mohan, exhorted students to be more devoted to the legal profession. Former advocate general R. Krishnamoorthi said growing awareness among the public about their rights created a need for more lawyers.
VIT Law School offers five-year courses in B.B.A., LL.B (Honours) and BA, LL.B (Honours), with an intake of 120 students.
