Vegetable prices tumble down at Koyambedu Wholesale vegetable market!

Prices of all vegetables were down at Koyambedu vegetable market.

An association member of the vegetable traders informed that there is an increase in the quantity of vegetables reaching Koyambedu market. 

Last week the prices of beans & flat-beans were down. At the same time, the price of drumstick which was sold at Rs. 100/- kg came down only gradually.

All other vegetable prices have come down. The prices of turnip, chowchow, beetroot, cabbage, and radish brought from Andhra, Karnataka, Ooty, and Kodaikkanal by 15 trucks from each place.

The increased quantity resulted in all vegetables selling around Rs. 10/- per kg.

The prices of potato, sambar onion, cauliflower, and drumstick have also come down.

However, there is scope for the vegetable prices to pick up after a week.
