Amma Small Industry Loan Scheme: 28921 applications received in 2 days

28921 persons have applied for loans under the Amma Small Industry Loan Scheme.
Small & Micro Industry owners were greatly affected during the incessant rain & floods in the districts of Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur, Cuddalore, Villupuram, and Tuticorin in the state of Tamil Nadu.
Chief Minister Jayalalithaa inaugurated the Amma Small Industry Loan Scheme offering an interest-free loan of Rs. 5000/- through Cooperative Societies on 22nd January.
If the loan is repaid within the stipulated period, a facility to avail another equivalent loan at a low 4 percent interest is available.
Special camps are being organised at 500 places in the above districts and will function till 2nd February.
Cooperative Society Officials informed that 28921 applications have been received over the last 2 days.
