Aavin, the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers` Federation Limited is in the final phase of launching half liter flexi packs of cow milk. In Sholinganallur a facility to pack ultra-high temperature (UHT) processed milk that will have a shelf life of 90 days has been completed on a budget of Rs 30 crore.
Currently the trails are done and verifies for the multilayered packs to preserve milk for longer periods. The facility will have a processing capacity of one lakh liters per day said the official report of Aavin.
Now the half liter flexi pack can be a one-time adapting method of dairy usage of a compact family through longer shelf life especially while travelling.
