24 hour police booth in Korattur

Residents of Srinivasapuram, TVS Nagar, Subbalakshmi Nagar and Sivagami Nagar and other areas in Korattur have succeeded in getting a police booth at the Annainagar Junction. The residents had petitioned for it after complaints of chain snatching in the area.
‘The junction is an important point and there were instances of chain-snatching in the area with a marriage hall in the vicinity’, said the Inspector of Korattur Police Station Venkatesh Kumar. ‘The need for police visibility was felt so the residents approached us and we were more than happy to help’, he said
