Greater Chennai Corporation Launches Tender to Revamp Amma Unavagams with Rs. 21 Crore Allocation!

The Greater Chennai Corporation has issued a tender to overhaul Amma Unavagams across 15 city zones.
A report indicates that the tender process was initiated following a directive from Chief Minister MK Stalin, who allocated Rs. 21 crore for the project.
Currently, there are 388 Amma Unavagams distributed across 200 city corporation zones and seven government hospitals. These canteens provide affordable meals, including idli in the morning, mixed rice at noon, and chapati in the evening.
