Constructing anganwadi buildings at various locations in 5 zones in Chennai!!
At several locations across 5 zones in south Chennai, GCC has proposed anganwadi buildings and an amount of Rs 7.71 cr has been allotted now for this. Soon, the construction work would begin and locations for anganwadis have been identified already. During the budget for the current FY 2024-25, an announcement regarding this was made.
Point to be noted is that the GCC has proposed constructing anganwadi buildings in Alandur and Sholinganallur zones that are zone 12 and zone 15 respectively. For the project, a total of R 3.90 cr has been allotted.
At an estimated amount of Rs 3.78cr, anganwadis would be constructed in the remaining zones like Valasaravakkam zone or zone 11, Adyar or zone 13, Perungudi or zone 14. At several locations in these zones, the Standing Committee for parks, education and playfields has granted permission to construct buildings. The funds would be provided by GCC and these developments would improve the southern parts of Chennai.
