Train Services Hit: Several EMU/MEMU Trains Cancelled on April 10 & 12 Due to Line Block Between Ponneri and Kavaraipettai
Due to scheduled line block works between Ponneri and Kavaraipettai railway stations in the Chennai Central–Gudur section, several EMU and MEMU train services will be fully or partially cancelled on April 10 and 12. The line block will be in effect from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on both days.
Fully Cancelled Services:
- Chennai Beach – Gummidipundi EMU: Departures at 9:40 am and 12:40 pm
- Moore Market Complex (MMC) – Sullurupeta EMU: Departures at 10:15 am, 12:10 pm, and 1:05 pm
- MMC – Gummidipundi EMU: Departures at 10:30 am and 11:35 am
- MMC – Avadi MEMU Passenger: Departure at 11:40 am
- Sullurupeta – Nellore MEMU Passenger: Departure at 3:50 pm
- Gummidipundi – Chennai Beach EMU: Departures at 10:55 am, 2:30 pm, and 3:15 pm
- Sullurupeta – MMC EMU: Departures at 11:45 am, 1:15 pm, 3:10 pm, and 9:00 pm
- Gummidipundi – MMC EMU: Departure at 1:00 pm
- Nellore – Sullurupeta MEMU Passenger: Departure at 6:45 pm
Partially Cancelled Services:
- Chengalpattu – Gummidipundi EMU: Partially cancelled between Gummidipundi and Chennai Beach (Departs Chengalpattu at 9:55 am)
- Gummidipundi – Tambaram EMU: Partially cancelled between Gummidipundi and Chennai Beach (Departs Gummidipundi at 3:00 pm)
Alternative Arrangements:
To mitigate passenger inconvenience, special EMU trains will operate on the following routes:
- Moore Market Complex (MMC) to Ponneri
- MMC to Minjur
- Chennai Beach to Ponneri
- Minjur to MMC
These special services will run only on April 10 and 12.
Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly.
