Voting Hours extended by 2 hours throughout the country- Election Commission

The election commission announced on Thursday that the voting hours are being extended by 2 hours throughout the country. 

Generally, voting hours are between morning 8 Am to evening 5 PM. For the ensuing parliamentary election, voting hours is extended by 2 hours. It will be between morning 7 AM to evening 6 PM. 

Officers for Women voters

There was a rule that all officers for women voters should reach their voting centre one day before the scheduled election. This has been changed. The voting centres for all women will be located to reach within 2 hours.

On-line voting

On-line voting will be permitted and included in the counting. Prior permission should be obtained from the election commission for voting on line. The details of the internet connection should be given while applying for permission.

Bank Money transfers

Income Tax officers have been provided the details of all bank money transfers. These details should also be given to the State Election Commissioner as per the latest instructions.

Election campaign meeting arrangements should be started only 12 hours before the meeting. And these arrangements should be removed within 6 hours after the meeting.
