Special Small Business Loan Scheme now to help small vendors affected by cyclone!!
There is some good news for the small vendors who have been affected by the Cyclone Fengal recently.
The news is that Mr. Periakaruppan, cooperative minister has announced that theTN government has launched a Special Small Business Loan Scheme to help various small vendors who got affected.
The minister spoke about how this new scheme would be launched for small vendors and how the objective behind would be to provide financial assistance to small vendors, shop owners, street vendors etc who have suffered loss due to the cyclone.
On 30th of November, the cyclone Fengal made its presence felt in the northern districts of TN. The cyclone was responsible for disrupting business activities of people belonging to the districts of Kallakurichi, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri etc.
The important piece of information is small vendors in these districts were severely affected and many lost their livelihoods.
Under this new scheme, the small vendors would get benefited as they could get loan amounts from Rs 10000 to Rs 1lakh at low interest rates.
Cuddalore and Villupuram districts central cooperative banks would provide loan amounts to the affected small vendors. Special camps would be organised for this. This was as per Mr. Periakaruppan.
It is worth mentioning that the special camps to disburse the loan amount would be held from 6th to 12th of December.
Those small vendors who were affected by the cyclone must bring their documents to these special camps to apply for their loan amounts.
