Implementation of Kalaignarin Kanavu illam Scheme- TN govt to sanction & release Rs 500 cr now!!
On Wednesday, 29th of January, the TN government took many by surprise when it issued orders to sanction and release Rs 500 crores for the implementation of Kalaignar Kanavu Illam Scheme. It is known that this scheme seeks to build one lakh houses in 2024-25.
Orders were issued yesterday from Mr. Gagandeep Singh who is the additional chief secretary of TN rural development & panchayati raj dept, to sanction Rs 500cr necessary additional funds for the implementation of the scheme.
The Government Order or GO mentioned that the government after careful examination accepted the proposal of the Commissioner of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj and decided to sanction Rs 500 cr for the implementation of Kalaignar Kanavu Illam scheme during 2024-25. While sending the budget proposed for revised estimates for 2024-25, the rural development commissioner has been directed to include expenditure.
