Chennai based Semmozhi Poonga is now making amazing news!!
Oorum Unavum festival has been organised at the famous Semmozhi Poonga in Chennai now. The main aim of this festival would be to promote self-reliance and self confidence etc in those people residing in the Sri Lankan Tamil resettlement Camps in TN. Yesterday, the opening ceremony took place and the festival saw the presence of MP, Mrs. Kanimozhi.
From 10am to 8pm, this festival would take place. It is now brought out that in this festival about 55 famous food entrepreneurs across TN have been preparing and providing more than 100 traditional dishes of foods. Information gathered is that a total of 13 food courts have been installed in the Semmozhi Poonga.
The music lovers won`t get disappointed as they can listen to the music from the band `On the Streets of Chennai` from 4:30pm to 6pm.
It must be noted that this food festival has been organised by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the NGO Eelah Ethilyar Rehabilitation Corporation, Adventist Development and Relief Agency, Jesuit Refugee Services and Advantage Foods Private Ltd etc.
