For more than half hour, core localities in Chennai such as T. Nagar, Kodambakkam, Choolaimedu and Aminjikarai plus other suburban localities like Pallavaram, Tambaram and OMR etc received light to moderate rainfall.
The humidity that has been making the lives difficult for the residents of Chennai has come down yesterday evening due to the rains and gusty winds. For the next 2 days, IMD has forecasted thunderstorms and lightning.
An IMD bulletin confirmed that for the next 2 days Chennai and its suburbs would receive light to moderate rains with thunderstorms and lighting etc. In Chennai, the maximum temperature would be 37 to 38 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 27 degrees Celsius to 28 degrees Celsius.
