Chennai Metro Opens New Parking Lot Near Airport Station

To meet the growing demand, Chennai Metro Rail has opened a new parking facility near Pallavaram, about 700 meters from the airport Metro station. The existing parking area within the station, which accommodates only 450 vehicles, often fills up quickly, causing inconvenience to commuters.
The newly opened lot can hold around 700 vehicles, including two-wheelers and cars. To assist passengers, shuttle services are available to transport them to the station, with plans to increase frequency based on demand. This move aims to ease congestion and provide a better travel experience for Metro users from southern parts of the city.
