New depression zone forming over the Andaman area

Indian Weather Research Centre located in Pune has is informed that because of the depression zone formed over the Bay of Bengal, there are strong prospects of heavy rain in the next 2 days (4th and 5th November) in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

There are strong prospects of rain with lightning and thunder in a few places.

It is also observed that there possibilities of a new depression zone forming over the Andaman Sea area by 7th November. This may lead to heavy rains in Andaman Nicobar areas. This depression may also cause rains in the southern states.

When enquiring about this new depression zone forming over the Andaman sea, the former Deputy Chief Director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre, Mr. YEA Raj, he informed that there are no chances of this new depression over the Andaman Sea to intensify into strong cyclonic form. So, it can be clearly told only after the formation of this depression zone expected over the Andaman Sea.
