In the next 48 hours, there would be intense rains in the southern districts belonging to Tamil Nadu and this would be similar to the recent rains. There would be moderate to heavy rains in many parts.
Important information is that Villupuram recorded the highest rainfall on Thursday and it was 17cm.
Heavy rains were reported from places like Kallaurichi, Salem, Cuddalore, Perambalur etc and in Chennai certain parts received 2cm rains yesterday.
Until Saturday, there would be heavy rainfall in the southern districts of TN and this would be due to the cyclonic circulation near Sri Lanka. Wind movement and the depression formed near the southern parts of TN would bring heavy to moderate rainfall. This was mentioned by some weather bloggers.
There would be heavy rains in isolated places like Nagapatinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Cuddalore, Villupuram ,Pudukottai, Karaikal and Sivananga etc. This was brought out by the updates from the RMC in Chennai. It is now said that there would be light rains in some places in the Chennai city and cloudy skies would be present. Point is that the maximum temperature would be 31degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature would be 25 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperature of 30.1 degree Celsius and minimum of 24.2 degrees Celsius were recorded in Nungambakkam yesterday.
In Chennai, Meenambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 30.2 degree Celsius and a minimum of 24.1 degrees Celsius. It is worthy to mention here that the maximum and minimum temperatures decreased by 1.4 degrees Celsius and1 degree Celsius respectively in the Chennai city.
