Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects for medium rain in the next 2 days in the southern districts and the districts adjacent to the Western Ghat Mountain range in Tamil Nadu.
The Director of the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, N. Puviyarasan, shared this:
“Due to the cyclonic format prevailing in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the southern districts of the State of Tamil Nadu, there are prospects for heavy rain with thunder in 1 or 2 places in the 2 districts of Kanyakumari and Thirunelveli today (Saturday, 4th December).
As regards the other districts and the districts adjacent to the Western Ghat mountain range, there are prospects for widespread mild to medium rain and as regards the northern coastal districts, Puducherry & Karaikkal; there are prospects for mild rain in 1 or 2 places.
As regards Chennai Metro City, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy today (Saturday, 4th December).
