Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has released the weather forecast for the next few days.
In a notification regarding this released by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre today (Friday, 10th December), it is mentioned:
“due to the easterly trough formed in the present northeast monsoon rainy season, there are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in a few places today (Friday, 10th December) in the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu State and Puducherry & Karaikkal. There are prospects for a dry climate in other districts and prospects for mild rain in 1 or 2 places.
As regards 11th December, there are prospects for mild to medium rain in a few places in the coastal districts and the adjacent interior districts. There are prospects for a dry climate in other districts and prospects for mild rain in 1 or 2 places.
As regards 12th December, there are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikkal.
As regards 13th December, there are prospects for widespread rain with lightning and thunder in the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu State and Puducherry and Karaikkal. There are prospects for mild to medium widespread rain in the interior districts.
As regards 14th December, there are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry & Karaikkal.
As regards Chennai Metro City, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy for the next 48 hours. There are prospects for mild to medium rain in a few places in the city. The maximum temperature will be 32 Degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 25 Degrees Celsius.
