The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for rising temperatures in Tamil Nadu over the next two days. Many cities have already surpassed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Chennai has also consistently seen temperatures above 100 degrees. The forecast suggests a further increase of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above normal in some areas. In the interior districts of Tamil Nadu, temperatures will hover between 37 and 40 degrees Celsius.
This temperature surge is attributed to eastward winds. However, there will be a slight decrease in temperature in West Tamil Nadu and interior regions, where temperatures have been consistently high, ranging from 40 to 41 degrees Celsius. Coastal areas are expected to experience temperatures between 33 and 37 degrees Celsius. In Chennai, the maximum temperature is forecasted to reach around 35 degrees Celsius for the next two days.
