Tamil Nadu Weatherman has reported a significant and much-needed rainfall in various regions across the state. Areas like Pondicherry, Seatown (Cuddalore), and Mayiladuthurai saw heavy downpours, each recording over 100mm of rain. This marks a welcome relief for Pondicherry, which has struggled with dry conditions this season.
The rainfall extended to interior districts including Namakkal, Ariyalur, and Perambalur, with forecasts predicting that these regions will continue to receive rain through tomorrow. Tamil Nadu Weatherman also anticipates that western districts like Coimbatore and Erode, along with southern areas such as Tirunelveli and Tuticorin, will experience rainfall soon. The agricultural delta regions are expected to receive showers as well.
In Chennai, the forecast indicates continued rain with nighttime and early morning showers, while some areas may experience brief but intense spells during the day.
