North India
Scattered light to moderate rains are expected over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh on January 23.
Rain and snow are expected over isolated areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and many parts of Uttarakhand. These weather conditions would be due to a fresh Western Disturbance along with an easterly trough.
By January 24, the rain belt will move away eastwards. So, dry weather and fog will return over parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh around January 25-26. During the same time frame, minimum temperatures will also drop by two to three degrees.
Central India
Isolated rain and thundershowers are expected over North Madhya Pradesh on January 23. Minimum temperatures are expected to increase over South Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh around the same time period. By January 24-26, night temperatures would start dropping. The weather would remain dry over the region.
East and Northeast India
Light rain is possible over East Uttar Pradesh around January 23-24. Assam and Meghalaya would also witness isolated rains around January 24-25. But Arunachal Pradesh would witness light to moderate rains with snowfall over isolated parts around January 24-27. Isolated rain may also occur over Nagaland.
The weather over Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura will remain dry during this period. Dense to very dense fog will continue over East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
South India
Light to moderate rain and thundershowers will continue over South Andaman and Nicobar Islands throughout the week. The weather will remain dry over rest all places such as Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
