Devotees faced long waiting times on Tuesday, with many waiting up to 8 hours for darshan at the Tirumala temple.
Despite a decrease in the overall number of devotees, the wait time for those without darshan tokens extended to 8 hours. Those opting for the ₹300 special entry darshan and those with free direct darshan tokens also experienced a wait time of 3 to 4 hours.
Children below 12 years of age and their parents are permitted to enter through the Alipiri walkway till 2 PM, while entry is allowed for all devotees via the walkway until 10 PM.
On Monday alone, 66,503 devotees had darshan at the temple. Additionally, 23,941 devotees performed the ritual of hair offering (tonsuring).
The temple authorities announced that donations made through banknotes totaled ₹4.16 crore after calculation.
