With the auspicious occasion of Kanda Shashti set to begin on November 2, the Tiruchendur Murugan Temple is gearing up to welcome lakhs of devotees. Extensive preparations are being made to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for the pilgrims during the six-day festival.
To accommodate the large influx of devotees, 18 temporary sheds have been set up around the temple premises. In addition, 225 permanent toilets and 190 temporary ones are being constructed to provide adequate sanitation facilities for visitors.
Enhanced Facilities for Devotees
Authorities are also arranging parking spaces and ensuring the availability of drinking water for the convenience of devotees. LED screens are being installed at key locations to broadcast the temple events, allowing pilgrims to view the proceedings without crowding the main temple area.
Security measures are being strengthened as well, with additional CCTV cameras being set up to monitor the temple surroundings and ensure the safety of the visitors.
