Facility to get Birth and Death Certificates online

The state minister for health, Vijayabhaskar has informed that the facility to get the details/ birth/death certificates online throughout Tamil Nadu.
The Minister released this information in the Legislative Assembly. He also pointed out that this facility is already available in Chennai Corporation. This will now be expanded throughout the state of Tamil Nadu.
As 98% of the births occur in hospitals in Tamil Nadu, the hospitals will be suitably instructed by the state government to forward the birth details to the concerned authorities.
In a similar view, the cemeteries and cremation grounds will also be instructed to forward the death details to the concerned authorities.
With this arrangement, the birth or death certificates can be obtained online within 3 weeks.
Naturally, this would be a simple process for the public saving the time, money, travel, and waiting for official formalities.
