Facility to get Voter ID card from the PDS website

The state government department of food has introduced a new facility to get the Voter ID card through the website of the Public Distribution System (PDS).

The public has to visit the Assistant Commissioner’s office of PDS or the office of the distribution circle to get the services of application for ration cards, addition/removal of names, change of address, etc., pertaining to the ration cards.

There were complaints received that the staff of employees in the office keeps the public by making them wait with unnecessary delays.

Subsequently, the state department of food has commenced the facility to get the services related to the ration cards to be done from wherever the public is located by visiting the website www.tnpds.gov.in.

Presently, the facilities include the services related to the ration cards.

An official from the cooperatives and the food department explained regarding this:

As per the recommendations of the central government, the facility has been introduced to enter the website of the Indian Election Commission through the PDS website.

Accordingly, in the lower half-page of the PDS website, click the Election Commission option. You will be taken to that website. In this, the services to apply for voter ID, error correction, etc., will be available.

Further, the details of the mobile phone numbers of the officials in charge of the grievance address system of the district PDS.
