Reliance Jio is gearing up with JioFiber Technology

With its JioFiber technology, Reliance Jio is gearing up to take over the broadband section of the telecom industry in the country.
As per reports online, the commercial services will commence during Diwali this year. Reliance Jio shall offer its users with 100GB data for Rs 500.
Amidst these, the other broadband players are also all set for the tariff war. The broadband plans of Airtel, BSNL and MTNL are already revised to combat with attractive Jio offers.
Earlier this month, an official announcement was made by Reliance Jio where it was stated that it will roll out its services in cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Jamnagar, Surat, Vadodara, Ahmadabad, etc under JioFiber Preview Offer. With the JioFiber offer, Jio users can get high speed internet for free for 3 months.
According to reports, it is likely that the broadband plans will get launched with JioMedia share device, a smart set-top box, Power Line Communication devices and routers. For 600GB data, the price is likely to be Rs 500 and for 1000GB at 100mbps speed, the pricing will be Rs 2000 per month.
It is likely that landline phone services will also be launched by Reliance Jio. However, official confirmation is awaited still.
