The present period for the IT industry is rather a tough one – with so many layoffs and the cost-cutting exercises by several leading IT companies. In this scenario, HCL (Hindustan Computer Limited) come up with a bold and surprise announcement – job opportunities in the Information Technology Industry right after completing +2.
In the 1st Phase of this rather bold and innovative proposal, HCL has planned to select 20 students this year and provide 1-year training for them in the field of software. Out of the 1-year training period, 9 months will be class-based study and 3 months will be on-the-job training in the company.
Out of the 200 students selected, 100 will be trained in Madurai and the balance, in Lucknow. The training will cover the fields of creating software, testing software, assisting in the software support activities, and software infrastructure management services.
After the training, the candidates will be given certificates trough SSN college in Chennai. Further, jobs will be offered in the various ongoing HCL projects.
During the 1st year, the trainees will be paid an annual amount of Rs. 1.80 Lakhs.
Immediately after completion of training, diplomas will be given. Then, jobs will be offered. Srimathi Sivasankar, Vice President of HCL Technology remarked that after gaining an experience of 2 years in the company including the training period, the candidates can easily complete graduation through postal courses.
Students who have scored more than 85% can apply. For the students who studied CBSE, it is fixed at 80%.
