There is going to be an overnight double-decker train service soon to be launched by the Indian Railways. This will be facilitated with modern equipment to aid business travelers.

The public transporter is aiming at bringing new service to connect metropolitan centres. Uday Express is to be launched, says Railway Minister, Suresh Prabhu, while speaking at the Smart Railway Conclave.

Uday Express will soon be launched to aid business travelers who aim at starting at night and reach the destination on the next day morning so that hotel costing will be cut off, he added, and mentioned that there will be improved amenities as well.

A lot of new projects are undertaken by the railways so as to provide improved onboard amenities for passengers.

The situations are most challenging for us and we are migrating ahead in a holistic strategy. We have incorporated smart methods in the railways in all aspects like catering, ticket booking, cleaning coaches, etc.

Due to under investment and insufficient capacity expansion, the railways was put in trouble in the past.

The expansion however did not meet the demand requirements. The goods kept moving away from railways. A gap between demand and supply prevailed. Hence, it was tough to come up with a holistic strategy. Projects involving new lines and electrification were then implemented.
