The deadline to submit Aadhar number is extended to 30th June, according to EPFO’s latest decision made for its 4 crore members.
At the same time, 30th September 2017 will remain as the last date for submitting Aadhar number for north-east states.
The field officers are instructed to make sure that all employers furnish Aadhar numbers for joining the Employees Pension Scheme, 1995 that will come into effect from 1st July 2017. This is not applicable for north east states where it will come into effect from 1st October 2017.
Earlier, the deadline for submitting Aadhar details was fixed as 30th April 2017. In January this year, EPFO mandated submission of Aadhar numbers for all its pensioners and subscribers. This was followed by a revision in deadline and again due to slow progress of submission of Aadhar card, it was extended again.
