The concession in the interest rates as given by the State Government of Tamil Nadu for those who got allotments from the Housing Development Board has been extended for a further 6 months.

Several allottees have not received their Sale Deeds due to the non-payment because of the burden of the interest on the debt burden. A government order was released on 15th June 2017 to withdraw the entire interest due on the principal amount and also reduce the interest to be paid on the balance payment for the plot/land that they need to pay the same only for 7 months with the balance for 5 months interest being cancelled. When the order was released, it was valid for only 1 year. Several allottees have been paying the due amount after the cancellation of the interest and received their sale deed. So, the above concession on the interest rates as detailed above has been extended for another 6 months.

The Board official appealed that the allottees who have not received their sale deed due to failure in payment can now avail this opportunity and settle the same.
