Time limit for filing GST returns (2019-20) extended!

The Central Government has extended the time limit for filing the Goods and Services Tax (GST) by an additional 2 months.
In this regard, the Central Government Department of Indirect Taxes has released a notification informing this extension of time limit to fir GST returns for 2019-20.
The original time limit was up to 15th July. It was further extended until 31st August.
For the organisations with the annual trading of up to Rs. 5 Crores, it had already been announced that the penalty for the delayed payment and the related interest will all be discounted.
