According to the latest update from Tamil Nadu Weatherman, the low-pressure system near Tamil Nadu`s delta region has weakened, allowing rainfall to spread across interior, western, and southern parts of the state. Initially, heavy rains concentrated over the Pondicherry-Cuddalore-Mayiladuthurai belt, where intense wind convergence brought significant downpours.
Now, as the weakened low-pressure area drifts closer to land, wind patterns are shifting, funneling rain further into interior regions. Moderate rainfall is expected in most Tamil Nadu districts throughout the day.
In the KTCC (Kancheepuram-Tiruvallur-Chennai-Chengalpattu) region, rain is most likely from night to early morning, with occasional isolated showers during the day.
