SETC to Run 1,220 Special Buses for Weekend Rush

The State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) will operate 1,220 special buses to manage increased travel demand during the upcoming weekend and auspicious days. On January 31 (Friday), 365 buses will run from Chennai`s Koyambedu to destinations like Tiruvannamalai, Tiruchy, Coimbatore, Madurai, and others. On February 1 (Saturday), 445 buses will be added for the same routes. Additionally, 60 buses will operate on both days to Tiruvannamalai, Velankanni, Hosur, and Bengaluru.
Around 250 special buses will also run from Bengaluru, Tirupur, Erode, and Coimbatore to various destinations. Madhavaram will have 20 special buses on Friday and Saturday. Return trips to Chennai will be arranged based on passenger demand.
