Jallikattu, or the Indian bull taming sport, had been an integral part of the life of the people of Tamil Nadu since the Tamil classical period. It required the bravest of the brave to take on the well-fed and well-bred bull, tame him and win laurels and the people`s hearts. J Suresh, a renowned, photojournalist is organizing a comprehensive and productive photography exhibition Veera Vilayattu for the first time in India as a part of the tradition and culture of rural Tamil Nadu.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Kamal Haasan on 2nd November 2015 at 10.30 AM  and the exhibition will remain open till November 8, 2015, daily 10am to 8pm. The venue of the exhibition is Lalit Kala Akademi. Greams Road, Chennai-6.

This exhibition showcases Jallikattu in all its glory and bravery and dedicates to salute the beast and the brave, as well as the people who loved and treated the animal as a precious member of their family, and those who thronged the rustic venues every year to celebrate the ultimate showcasing of courage and sportsmanship.
