Kaala movie latest update

Actor Dhanush is the producer of the Rajnikanth`s next movie Kaala. Rajnikanth and director Ranjith working together after the super-hit Kabali.
The shootings for the movie commenced recently at the Dharavi slum area in Mumbai. The 1st Phase of the movie shooting got completed.
A remarkable thing is that the shooting got completed ahead of the planned schedule. This was because of the uncontrollable gathering of fans and due to safety reasons, and the pending release of other movies in the city. So, 2 fight scenes which were scheduled to be shot in Mumbai will now be shot in Chennai at a set resembling Dharavi area.
As the creation of set resembling Dharavi is still in progress, the 2nd Phase of the shooting, the superstar Rajnikanth has decided to utilise this gap to meet his fans in 18 districts and have photographs taken with them. He is likely to announce these dates soon.
An information is gathered that actor Dhanush may perform the role of the younger Rajini in Kaala. A special make-up test was conducted for this. Rajini has been given some these photographs. So far, he has not shared his opinion.
Meanwhile, the episode concerning the Tirunelveli part of the story is scheduled to be shot in the areas of Tenksi and Papanasam.
It seems that talks are going on with the Malayalam mega star Mammootty to act in the role of Rajni’s friend in Mumbai. In case Mammootty rejects, actor Satyaraj or Prabhu may be asked to do this role.
As an individual has filed a petition claiming that the story of Kaala is his, a special legal committee has been formed to take care of this.
Lyca, the producer of the other Rajini film 2.0, has offered a substantial sum for the complete rights of Kaala. However, the actor-producer Danush has not taken any decision on this so far.
