Film ticket rates up again

Acceding to the demands of the Tamil Nadu Film Trading Council of Tamil film producers, the state government of Tamil Nadu has increased the basic rates of the film tickets. The minimum value ticket has been increased from Rs. 15 to Rs. 20.

The home ministry of the state has issued a new government order regarding the film ticket rates. According to this, the maximum fare will be Rs. 150 and the minimum rate will be Rs. 50 in the multiplex theatre complexes.

In the cities under the corporation, local administration and Panchayat administration, the maximum film ticket rate will be Rs. 100 and the minimum rate will be Rs. 30. In villages under rural administration, The maximum rate will be Rs. 75 and the minimum rate will be Rs. 20. With this, the film ticket fares have gone up in all laces throughout Tamil Nadu.

The details of the revised film ticket rates for both a/c and non-a/c theatres (rates given as per the announcement dated 11th October):

Corporations:

Minimum: 40 (15), 30 (10)
Maximum:  100 (62.50), 80 (37.50)

City administration:

Minimum: 40 (10), 30 (10)
Maximum: 100 (50), 80 (37.50)

Panchayat administrations:

Minimum: 40 (10), 30 (10)
Maximum: 100 (31.25), 80 (25)

Village administration:

Minimum: 25 (10), 20 (10)
Maximum: 75 (18.75), 50 (15)
