There are many people who use metro trains to reach their destinations in Chennai city.
Now, here comes superb news for the commuters of the metro trains. It is now revealed that by this year`s end CMRL might install LED backlit LCD displays in the metro trains. By this, route related details like current location of the metro trains and next station, famous landmarks nearby and ways to reach the landmarks etc would be available for the passengers.
In the 52 metro trains that are operated on the 54km phase 1 and phase 2 extension lines, a dynamic route map display system would be installed. It is now said that these displays would replace the static and dynamic maps installed above the train doors.
It was later confirmed by an official from CMRL that in about 42 metro trains there would be dynamic route maps and 2 static route maps in each car.
