The Tamil Nadu government has declared November 1 as a public holiday, following the Diwali celebrations on Thursday, October 31. The holiday aims to accommodate those traveling back home after the festivities. An official notification has been issued, announcing that government offices, public sector organizations, schools, and colleges will remain closed on November 1.
To compensate for the additional holiday, Saturday, November 9, has been declared a working day for all government institutions.
