A 15-day holiday has been announced for all family welfare courts in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry from May 1 to May 15, in view of the summer vacation.
The announcement was made by Madras High Court Chief Registrar Alli, following a formal request from the Madras High Court Women Lawyers Association.
This move is intended to provide relief during the peak summer period and aligns with the vacation schedule of other judicial bodies.
Family welfare courts handle sensitive cases related to family matters, including divorce, child custody, and domestic disputes, and this break will allow staff and legal professionals some much-needed respite.
