GEM Hospital to conduct mega free camp for hernia related diseases

GEM Hospital, India`s premier Gastroenterology, laparoscopic and Robotic surgery hospital, will conduct a mega free awareness camp for hernia related diseases from 1st March 2024 to 3rd March 2024. This awareness camp is open for the public from 9.00am to 3.00pm at GEM Hospital Chennai located at MGR Road, Perungudi.
The camp will have experts from GEM Hospital Chennai conducting free consultation, blood test and ultra sound screening for required patients. People from in and outskirts of Chennai can make use of this free camp and check for any hernia related ailments.
Speaking on the initiative Dr. C. Palanivelu, Chairman, GEM Hospital said, "1 in 4 males develop hernia. For ladies, due to weak abdominal muscles after deliveries, especially after C-section incision gives way, incisional hernia occurs. Hernia cannot be prevented but can be cured without much of pain and fear of recurrence by laparoscopic surgeries. GEM hospital will continue to organise many such campaigns to create awareness about the disease."
A team of doctors from GEM Hospital Chennai headed by Dr. P. Senthilnathan, Director & Surgical Gastroenterologist, GEM Hospital will be in-charge of this mega camp.
