Tamil Nadu is set to experience refreshing rainfall as a low-pressure system, expected to dissipate today, brings rains across the state on December 26th and 27th.
In a rare occurrence, Chennai celebrates Christmas with rainfall for the fourth time in 25 years, following similar weather patterns in 2001, 2003, and 2022. Chennai and its surrounding KTCC (Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, and Chengalpet) regions are expected to enjoy moderate rainfall today and tomorrow. North coastal areas, including Pondicherry, Cuddalore, and Villupuram, are also likely to receive steady showers.
Interior districts such as Coimbatore, Erode, Nilgiris, Dindigul, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Ranipet, Trichy, Sivaganga, and Namakkal will join in with moderate rain, offering much-needed relief.
As this marks one of the final rain spells of the monsoon, it is a moment to cherish. With dry months ahead, the Tamil Nadu Weatherman reminds everyone to enjoy and appreciate these late monsoon rains.
