GCC Observes U.N.s 16 Days of Activism Campaign for Womens Safety

The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has joined the global ‘16 Days of Activism’ campaign, an initiative by the United Nations aimed at ending violence against women.
In a press release issued on Monday, the GCC announced its plans to raise awareness by illuminating the iconic Ripon Buildings in orange from November 25 to December 10, 2024, symbolizing a brighter future free of violence against women.
Earlier this year, on June 30, 2024, the Ripon Buildings were lit in PRIDE rainbow colors to promote inclusivity and diversity. This continuation of themed illuminations highlights the Corporation`s commitment to important social causes.
