This programme is usually an opportunity that the university provides for students from smaller institutions to get a campus placement, according to academics.
In a press release, T Thyagarajan, director of the university`s Centre for University Industry Collaboration, said some of the eligible students could not participate due to non-registration / non-generation of the hall ticket for an online test, conducted as a requirement for participation in the placement drive. He said Infosys has consented to conduct another placement camp for these students in Chennai on Friday and Saturday.
Eligible students will receive an invitation mail from Infosys. They will have to go through the registration process and generate the hall ticket to appear for the online test. The recruitment process will include a computerized aptitude test and a technical interview, followed by an HR interview. Around 3,000 students are expected to participate in the programme.
